Common challenges we solve

English site gets traffic but few inquiries

Translation preserves the words. It rarely preserves the conversion.

"Just translate it" doesn't feel like the whole story

US customers don't just read differently. They decide differently.

No Amazon storefront in the US market.

For overseas D2C, Amazon is often the first touchpoint, and a missed opportunity.

Need one bicultural partner, not just a translator

Working across two markets becomes easier with someone who understands the culture.

Paying monthly for a site your team can't update

When every content change requires a developer, updates can get expensive fast.

Overseas customers hear from you once — at checkout

Without email flows or social, lifetime value walks out the door.

What we build

Global-Ready Website

Structure, content design, and UX writing built around how overseas customers read and decide. The right platform for the situation — WordPress, Shopify, Squarespace, or Wix Studio — matched to your team's editing capacity, technical resources, and content velocity. Bilingual JP/EN structures designed in parallel, not translated after the fact.

Shopify Store

Product page UX, checkout flow, and conversion copy direction for cross-border selling. Store design that handles international shipping, currency, and customer expectations from launch day.

Amazon Storefront & A+ Content

Brand store design, listing pages, and A+ content built around how US shoppers actually evaluate products. The highest-leverage, most-overlooked asset for Japanese brands entering the US. (See Mirai Speaker: 1.92% → 5.19% CVR.)

Email Marketing Systems

Flow strategy, email copy design, and Klaviyo or Mailchimp implementation. Welcome flows, abandoned cart, post-purchase, campaign templates — designed once, running continuously.

Recent work

Japan → US E-commerce Expansion

Featured: Mirai Speaker

“Mirai Speaker became the leading hearing-assist speaker for aging listeners in Japan. When they set their sights on the US market, they brought me on as the American strategic partner for the eCommerce expansion.

The first shift was in how the product was presented. Where the Japanese site led with specifications, the US site led with experience — an interactive sound comparison that let visitors hear the difference themselves, Amazon reviews surfaced directly on the product page, and 450,000 Japanese customers positioned as social proof rather than a footnote.

The results moved quickly. Amazon conversion rate climbed from 1.92% to 5.19% over seven months. Customer acquisition cost dropped from $263 to $79 in four. Black Friday 2024 set a company sales record at 202 units in a single day.

Beyond the storefront, I built the Klaviyo email system from scratch from welcome flows, campaign templates, to post-purchase sequence. Overseas customers continued to hear from the brand long after checkout. Additionally I was embedded to produce content to support the site weekly, working alongside the Digital Marketing team delivering paid ads.

The work also took us to Las Vegas to present at CES 2024 in partnership with JETRO at the J-Startup section in Japan Pavilion.”

The full stack: WordPress + WooCommerce for the storefront, Klaviyo for email, Amazon as the primary sales channel — chosen for how the pieces fit together, not for what was trendy. Additionally, I helped craft weekly social media ads for Paid & Organic across Instagram, Meta and Google Ads.

Creative partnerships rarely begin with the biggest project.
They begin with the right one and the right people who are not only great at what they do but connected to the end goal.
